Valero Texas Open - Fantasy Picks

Valero Texas Open:

Course: TPC San Antonio - Oak Course
Par: 72
Length: 7,433yards
Prize Pool: $6,200,000
Last Years Champion: Ben Curtis

The PGA Tour is in Texas for a second straight week as players prepare for the Valero Texas Open.  Only one week away from the Masters, there are still some players in the field who are looking to iron out the kinks in their game.  As usual, we've looked the field over and have made our predictions.  And although a top ranking golfer in the field, Rory didn't make our list this week.  Here's a look at who we'll be watching for:

Matt Kuchar - Having played in six events already in 2013, Kuchar hasn't missed a cut, and I don't expect him to start this week.  He seems to really enjoy tight tracks like TPC San Antonio, where he finished T13 last year.  He plays a very consistent and low risk game, currently 10th on Tour in bogey avoidance.

Jimmy Walker - In nine events so far this year, Walker hasn't missed a cut and has found his way into the top 10 three times already.  I think he's about due to step it up another notch and will be gunning for a good showing this week.

Ian Poulter - Poulter is another who very seldom misses a cut.  His consistent play and great scrambling game (currently ninth on tour for scrambling) should put him in contention this week.  Although this is his first ever appearance in San Antonio, I think he'll be looking to make it a memorable one.

Bendon de Jonge - Another who rarely misses a cut, de Jonge is coming off a strong finish at Redstone where he finished T10.  He's shown this season that he has what it takes to compete, with four top 15 finishes among his 11 starts this season.

Here's a closer look at my completed fantasy picks...
