Mystical Golf Announces 11th Annual Christmas Child Golf Tournament

Event Has Raised $148,000 for Area Children in Need

(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) – Mystical Golf – owner and operator of The Witch, Man-O-War and The Wizard courses and celebrated by media as the “best 54 holes of golf in Myrtle Beach” – announces its 11th annual Christmas Child Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Dec. 20.

All proceeds directly benefit more than 250 South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia children in need by providing gifts and activities they would never have otherwise. They include trips to venues like Carowinds Amusement Park, monthly movies, bowling, putt-putt golf, Coastal Carolina College football games and an annual trip to the Alabama Theatre Christmas Show.

Additionally, as a Christmas gift, kids are presented with a new pair of shoes of their own choosing. Last year’s event raised more than $16,000, bringing total donations since 2003 to $148,000.

"The proceeds from our Christmas Child Golf Tournament help bring joy and hope to children at a crucial time in their lives,” says Claude Pardue, President and CEO of Mystical Golf. “We’re thankful to the golfers participating in the event as there is nothing more important than providing hope to children who have gone through so much.”

This year’s tournament will once again be played on The Wizard and Man-O-War golf courses. The format is Captain’s Choice. Prizes with be awarded for “Longest Drive” and “Closest to the Pin.” Raffle and mulligan packages will be available for purchase. The cost is $65 per player or $260 per team (lunch included). Hole and green sponsorships are available for $100 each, or $345 per team. The entry deadline is December 17.
