Mystical Golf Announces Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers Benefit Concert

Alabama Theatre Show for ‘Pardue Children in Need Fund’ Directly Aids Area Residents 

(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) – Mystical Golf – owner and operator of The Witch, Man-O-War and The Wizard courses which have been lauded by media like Golf Digest, GOLF Magazine and GolfChannel.com – announces Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers will perform a benefit concert for its “Pardue Children in Need Fund.”

Fifty years ago, Larry, Steve and Rudy Gatlin started singing in their hometown of Abilene, Tex., and went on to make music history with Grammy Awards and songs topping the country charts. They’ve sung everywhere, from White House command performances to Broadway shows to the world’s great music venues.

“Not only are Larry, Steve and Rudy supremely talented, they are also three of the most giving individuals you’ll ever meet,” says Claude Pardue, President and CEO of Mystical Golf. “We’re honored they’re taking time out of their busy schedule to help our children find joy in their lives.”

As with Mystical Golf’s annual Christmas Child Golf Tournament, the concert directly benefits 180 young people at the Lighthouse Care Center of Conway, S.C. Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta, Ga., and Sea Coast Academy in Surfside, S.C..

The Lighthouse facilities care for children from the ages of 12-17 suffering from behavioral disorders. Funds generated provide activities as rewards for good conduct. They include a trip to Carowinds Amusement Park, monthly movie screenings, bowling, putt-putt golf, Carolina College football games and an annual trip to the Alabama Theatre Christmas Show. Additionally, as a Christmas gift, kids are presented with a new pair of shoes of their own choosing.

With its noble mission statement of “Providing Joy to Kids with Little Joy in Their Lives,” the Pardue Children in Need Fund, in association with The Waccamaw Community Foundation, has brightened the lives of hundreds of young people in The Grand Strand of South Carolina and Augusta, Georgia.

Through numerous fundraising events including its annual Christmas Child Golf Tournament, all proceeds benefit children housed at Lighthouse Care Center of Conway, S.C.
