The PGA Tour will shift a little farther east this week as it makes its way to Scottsdale for the Waste Management Phoenix Open.  Played at the well known TPC of Scottsdale golf course, this should be a great week of golf.  As always, the field is packed with talent, many of whom are still fighting for their first victory of 2013.  After doing my evaluation, here's my top picks for this week:

Bubba Watson (@bubbawatson): I know the saying "Drive for show, putt for dough" but how can you not bet on a guy that has an average driving distance of over 315 yards? He was a late withdrawal at Torrey Pines due to an illness last week, but I think he'll be raring to go after a having some time to recoup.  Bubba's played this course several times, including during last years Waste Management where he finished T5.

Nick Watney (@nickwatneygolf):  Kept his rally rolling at Torrey Pines where he arrived having posted top 20s in his last five starts worldwide. Survived his last five cuts at TPC Scottsdale. Each of his last three resulted in a top 25, topped by a personal-best T5 in his last (2011).

Brian Gay (@briangaypga): Cited Grant Waite and Joe Mayo for helping him gain 10-15 yards off the tee, an advantage that came in handy en route to a playoff victory at the Humana Challenge. The four-time PGA TOUR champ has logged four top 25s in his last six trips to this event.

Ben Crane (@bencranegolf): As one of my personal favorites for his work both on and off the course, I'm hoping Ben Crane will string together some solid rounds. While he's started 2013 with two missed cuts in as many starts, TPC Scottsdale has agreed with his game. In his last five appearances, he's posted three top 20s, including a T4 in 2008 and a solo second a year ago.

Here's a look at my completed fantasy picks...
