Canadian Open

The RBC Canadian Open kicks off this week and for the first time in it's history it will be played at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, British Columbia.

In its 107-year history, the Canadian Open has helped to shape the face of professional golf in Canada. Many of golf's greatest names have claimed the Canadian Open Championship title including Byron Nelson, Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead, Greg Norman, Nick Price, Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh and Jim Furyk.  This years lineup has no lack of talent including Ryan Moore, Rickie Fowler, Jim Furyk, and Candians Mike Weir and Stephen Ames.

Shaughnessey is a traditional private golf club which is well treed and overlooks the Fraser River and the Strait of Georgia.  Built in 1960 this challenging course promises to test the skill level of even the most experienced golfers.
