Not long ago, we started posting articles in the category 'Extreme Golf'... well the Death Valley Challenge is extreme golf at it's finest! In the name of charity, two guys from The Breakfast Ball are going to be golfing as many holes as they can on July 28th in Furnace Creek California, where temperatures are often above 120 degrees!!! How many holes do you think they'll finish? Here are the details...
Not everyone maybe familiar with what or where Death Valley is so on the Facebook Page I linked to several “wiki” articles so you can get the gist of what Death Valley is all about. In a nutshell it’s HOT, let me rephrase that IT IS RIDICULOUSLY HOT IN DEATH VALLEY. When you throw July in Death Valley into the mix, the insanity becomes clearer.
We’ve arranged unlimited Golf on the 28th of July so our goal is to play as many holes of golf as we can from sun up to sun down, if we can make it. Now were not completely off our rockers so we will be using golf carts to get us around the course, walking would just be a Death sentence in +120° heat.
I can’t stress this enough EVERY PENNY THAT WE RAISE will be going directly to The First Tee of Southern Nevada. All direct contributions will also be given 100% to them as well. We’re doing this for one reason and one reason only and that’s to help out an organization that I believe does some tremendously good things for the kids in our community, and I we want to do something to help them.
If you are interested in making a donation, you can do so here. Alternatively you can contact the Breakfast Ball via email at: thebreakfastball@gmail.com
I've golfed mid-day in Vegas before and it was unbearably hot. Can't imagine golfing in this kind of heat! Best of luck to you guys!
