USGA Conforming Golf Ball Absorbs the Suns UV Rays Making It Brighter and More Visible
Australian golf ball designer, Vision Golf, has effectively launched the first and only USGA conforming golf ball that is so bright, it actually glows in the dark.
Unlike anything else on the market, this is without questions, the brightest and most visible hi-performance golf ball on the market today. Interestingly enough, it is not marketed as a 'glow in the dark' golf ball, in fear of being labeled as a novelty product. The goal with Visions UV absorbing ball was to make a hi-performing golf ball that was brighter and therefore easier for golfers to track both through the air and on the ground. As it turns out, the technology they've developed and incorporated works so well, the ball will glow in the dark.
Using their unique patented UV absorption process (U.S. Patent No. 7179856), Vision has been able to achieve the maximum brightness for this ball. After exposure to the sun's UV rays the ball will absorb and retain the energy making it brighter and more visible. Having tested the ball out for myself, I've quickly become a believer. The ball performed as well as any ball I've used (keep in mind I'm about a 15 handicap) and is clearly the most unique ball I've come across. For me, where this ball really shines, is during low light conditions, especially during twilight rounds. Using this ball has helped me out on several occasions to get through the last few holes as the sun is setting, which otherwise would not have been possible.
The hi-tech, soft feel cover material used on this ball is exceptionally durable and extremely slick, thereby creating less drag in flight and greater overall distance. The UV Yellow trains golfers to watch the ball and makes it easier to follow the ball flight and see where the ball finishes.
