What To Watch On TV - Golf Channel

I wouldn't consider myself much of a couch potato, but when it comes to watching TV, hands down, I watch more golf than anything else (with hockey a distant second).  As such, it goes without saying that my favorite network is Golf Channel.  As the fastest growing network on TV, it's evident that I'm not the only who's taking a liking to golf themed programs.

Of course, there's the obvious PGA and LPGA events that keep us all on the edge of our seats as we watch the pro's battle it out each week.  But, over the past year, I've learned that golf programming on TV goes much deeper than tournaments alone and that there are some awesome series that my keep me  eagerly coming back week after week.  These have included, Chasing the Dream, The Big Break, The Haney Project (airing Mondays at 9PM ET), Feherty (airing Mondays at 10PM ET) and In-Play with Jimmy Roberts (airing Tuesdays at 10:30PM ET).

Here's a quick intro/recap into a few of my favorites currently airing on the Golf Channel.

The Haney Project with Michael Phelps

Watch world renown golf coach Hank Haney as he takes Michael Phelps under his wing to see if he can transform the worlds most decorated Olympian into a respectable golfer.  There's plenty of high points, a few low points and a lot of laughs which makes for an extremely entertaining series.  Check out the video below to see the progress they've made so far...

feherty

How do you describe the offbeat antics of David Feherty? The New York Times called him “a cross between Oprah Winfrey and Johnny Carson.” His irreverent humor and undeniable charm proves disarming for guests, and leads to great conversation, and a whole lot of laughs. Guests include Bill Clinton, Annika Sorenstam, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary McCord and Charles Barkley. Join the fun, each Monday at at 10 p.m. ET.  Check out this video clip of hilarious outtakes from the third episode of Feherty.

Check out these and other great golf programs, only on the Golf Channel!
